Join Seminary Hill, the world’s first passive house-certified cidery, and The Catskill Project, the region’s first carbon-neutral community, to see what the future of living looks like.

Tour the Region’s First Passive House community

Arrive at The Catskill Project in Livingston Manor on Saturday, May 10, at 1 PM. Tour a model home, walk on a community hiking trail, and enjoy a briefing on Passive House design.

Tour the world’s first passive house cidery

After spending the night at Seminary Hill’s MICHELIN Key boutique hotel, wake up for an orchard and cidery tour and guided tasting on Sunday, May 11, at 11 AM with Seminary Hill owner Doug Doetsch.

Saturday, May 10, 2025

  • Arrive at The Catskill Project in Livingston Manor at 1 PM. Tour a model home, walk on a community hiking trail, and enjoy a briefing on Passive House design.

  • Relax at Seminary Hill’s MICHELIN Key Hotel, The Boarding House, or explore the Callicoon Downtown Historic District.

  • Have dinner at The Tasting Room, Seminary Hill’s New Nordic restaurant helmed by Executive Chef Jack Tippett (formerly The Banty Rooster and Dante West Village in New York). Enjoy the sunset and stay after for s’mores by the firepit. 

  • Venture out for a nightcap at Black Walnut or Callicoon Wine Merchant.

Sunday, May 11, 2025

  • Tour Seminary Hill’s 12-acre orchard at 11 AM. The orchard is certified organic by the Northeast Organic Farming Association, and the cidery, built by River Architects in Cold Spring, meets Passive House standards. Afterward, you’ll enjoy a guided tasting of Seminary Hill cider. 

  • Stay at Seminary Hill for a farm-style brunch or lunch at The Tasting Room

  • Wander to the Callicoon Farmers’ Market or explore nearby towns. Head to North Branch to visit our friends Tom and Anna at North Branch Cider Mill. They also own Homestedt, who designed and outfitted The Boarding House. Alternatively, drive down to Narrowsburg to visit One Grand Books or Landers River Trips for fun times on the Delaware.
